Okay, so I was trying to setup Cisco IPS on my computer using GNS3. And when I tried to access the sensor via a browser, I got the error that said “your current java memory heap size is less than 256mb …“

I found various fixes online for this issue, like changing the Java parameters from Control Panel, editing the Java configuration file etc. But none of these worked.
In the end, I uninstalled my current Java, and installed Java version 5 update 15. And it works absolutely fine :).
If you’re facing the same issue, I recommend you use this Java version as a fix.
FYI, I tried this on Windows 7 64-bit operating system.
